A rare single-estate lot from Ethiopia - we just love this coffee, and look forward to its arrival every year.
When we cupped this lot, it had a great caramel/toffee sweetness; the acidity is gentle and sweet, hinting at lime and orange juice. This fades to a balancing bitterness that reminds of grapefruit & marmalade.
We roast the Tade reasonably light to preserve all those delightful aromatics, so this one is best suited to brewed coffee (plunger/filter etc.), but definitely makes a super bright, sweet and juicy espresso.
